Have you ever stayed up late and had a good night have you been to a party and stayed up late you probably have. Was it a good night yes it probably was so you should let your children stay up late to. Let them have a good night. They can enjoy it with you what a good night you would have just think of it.






Children should choose their bed time because they are sensible enough to choose it. We will always go to bed at a reasonable time not some silly time like midnight. We will calm down and not run around and be gobbers. Trust them they won't run around just trust them.




We need the experience for when we are teenagers so we will be able to handle staying up late. We need to learn that you can’t stay up late and run around. Because we will be really responsible when we are older.



I think you hate getting up early and telling your children to turn the tv down. Or maybe telling them to turn off the radio. They can get so annoying do you hate it.





Do you want to get ride of your children how craul. Do you want to eat lollies and chocolates think about it you do. If you don't do that what is your reason for not letting your kids stay up late.


Parents need to be nicer to their children  when it comes to bedtimes. All the kids will probably agree. Do you think all the kids would  agree I do.  So you should be nice to them.
  
There's one solution to stop the things above that is let your children choose their own bedtime!!

Protect they environment

Today we had a visitor her name was Sarah. Sarah is from the Hastings district council. She talked
to us about protecting they environment. The environment is buildings,schools,nature,people,ocean and much more.  There are lots of rules there's some for signing,how tall
buildings can be and also noise. In residential areas buildings can be 10 metres tall. Signs have to
be big and easy to read and understand. For noise you cant boy race or you cant build a house next  to the motorway because the people that live there will have to much noise around them.Rules are
made by her and part of her work they come up with rules and check if the public like them. So
Sarah taught us all of that.

Room 19 entered in a competition were you could win up to 10000 dollars. If we came in the top
ten we won money. If we cam in the top five schools (we did) We won a free Hitachi heat pump.
So room 19 are going to raffle of the new heat pump if Mr g lets us. Well that's how we won a
free Hitachi heat pump.

The war of the cockroaches

The war of the cockroaches
One fine day there was a bunch of bright colorful cockroaches and a bunch of dull
evil cockroaches. They had always hated each other and on the 30th of july 2002
they had a cockroach war. In the forest they were both tramping in the forest when
the evil leader Temper told his troops attack. They attacked the good colourful cockroaches the war had begun. The evil team were shooting the goodies withf mud balls. The goodies returned with cockroach poo. The war was firing up the slow trampers arrived and started to fire poo. Then the evil slow ones fell asleep well that wasn't good for the evils don don don dooooon. During the fight the volcano up the track erupted all of the cockroaches tramped down the track quickly the evils left behind the sleeping ones behind to die. When the goodies were three quarters down
the forest they saw body parts from the evils sleeping beauties.  Pallet said ‘poor
them us goodies would never ever ever leave a man behind’. ‘That  is exactly why
we are going to get the people still alive said Pallet strongly. ‘What’ said the troops. The goodies went tramping up to the volcano. they all looked very scared except for Pallet. When they got to the top Pallet lifted four cockroaches two on each shoulder Pallet is the strongest of all. All of the troops ran down the hill as fast as they could. Then Pallet tripped over and everyone didn't notice and kept running down the hill. Pallet had to save himself and the four evils. Him and the other four tried to stand
up but they were all caught up in vines. Pallet pulled some mints out of his pocket. Then he pulled out some chewing gum. ‘I've got five packets of mints that have
twenty in a packet and fifteen pieces of chewing gum’ he said to himself. I can use
all of my mints and stick them together with the gum. So Pallet did that and he
stuck some of the gum to his hand and threw the food ball. The ball stuck to a tree 
and Pallet held onto the other four and they all flung out of the vines. ‘Why thank
you Pallet you just saved my life. ‘Well thats why I signed up for this job to fight
for happiness and to save lives. ‘You are as strong as a lion and as fast as usan bolt don't forget your smarter then a scientist’ the sleeping beauties explained. ‘Can we please join the goodies because Temper is always yelling at us’ . ‘Sure only if you never ever hurt or attack a goodie’ said Pallet ‘Deal’ The new goodies replied. 
When the five got down to the bottom of the hill Pallet said ‘ These four are joining
the goodies’ ‘Hooray’ the troops screamed. ‘Their names are Smacker Wacker Cracker and Dacker’. ‘Welcome’ said the troops. All of the goodies lived very
happily. As for the evils they all went to the cockroach prison where they got
horrible food and nothing good ever happened to them.

Ahhhhhhhhhh as I stretch my arms out as wide as they can go I feel the urge to run to the lounge as fast as I can so I do. When I get to the lounge I find i'm the second awake because my dad gets up at five o'clock. The reason why dads awake so early is because he starts work at 6.30. But this morning I woke up and saw that it was only five o'clock. Oops I forgot to set my clock for daylight savings. Who cares the earlier you wake the better the day well thats what I think. ‘ I'm going to let the cats in’. When the cats come in there's always excitement. First they started to have a fight they look like they are in the washing mischen when they roll round and round. “Go whisky no i mean go mittens just both hit each other” I said . Krrrrrrrrrrrrr is all you can her because whiskeys claws are scraping in the floor might want to pick him up. After they finish fighting whisky usually runs and jumps on the arm of the couch. Then he jumps over your head onto the other arm. Then he jumps onto the floor and runs jumps over the table and lands on the lino wow. Mittens starts to clean whiskey it is so so cute. I was getting a bit tired though. Then I see my dad ‘ hello there’ I say ‘why are you up so early dad asks’ ‘Because I forgot to set the clock for daylight savings’. ‘ You really are silly aren't you’ dad replies. ‘ Well i'm off to work he says’. I look at the clock mum will be up soon. Then mum walked into the lounge. I looked at the clock and it was 6.45 I've been out here since 5.00 what a long morning.

          

Time toast

Journey of a rain drop

As me and my friends gather together in a big gray cloud ready to fall. I close my eyes and then next thing you were all falling down. Looking around me I can see the world I can see the trees. A helicopters propellers nearly got me what a close one. The ground is coming closer to me I am nearly there.Splat! I hit the front window of a car ouch that hurt. Ahhhhhh the window wiper had sent me flying straight into a drain. Sliding through the drain out of a tap into a bottle. A child picks the bottle up and goes into the car. His mum drives him to his soccer game. Before the game he drinks some water but not me. The game has began about fifteen minutes into the game the boy gets subbed. He drinks more water but not me. Another kid gets subbed off for the little boy. at half time the boy drinks some water and stops just before me. Full time the ref calls the boy runs off to get a drink oh no. When the boy gets to his drink bottle he picks it up and he drinks all of the water that was left. That means he drunk me.

P.E

Room 19 have just started P.E we are learning netball skills. To do a successful netball pass you
need to aim at your partners chest and throw the ball from your chest to your partners make sure
that you step ford and pass with power.
I think that I was good at catching the netball. To catch a netball you need to catch the ball with
your hands on the side of the ball,then turn your hands so they are at the back of the ball then pass.
I think that Lily N was pretty good.

Camp writing

This is one of the rafting groups having some fun.

Rain doesn't stop primary school students.

Room 19 and Room 18 from parkvale school have just arrived back from a very wet camp. The reason for the camp was to face our fears and tackle new challenges. During their camp they were lucky enough to go rafting in the mohaka river threw some rapids. They needed guides of course. The guides were called Mike Deon Liam and Bones. The kids got pushed in the river mainly by their guides.  


They also got to do some air pistol shooting. They were not allowed to wave their guns around. Some of the kids have good accuracy.


The kids did some archery as well some did archery inside because it was to wet to do it outside. archery must of been pretty fun.

Some of the kids slept in bivouacs they must be tough kids.
The car trips were even fun.All the kids enjoyed their camp a lot! The teachers and parents enjoyed the camp to.

My dream camp

This is my dream camp if it existed it would be awesome and I would love to go there.

Education
Classes will work on ilisten 12 extreme which are a little box that will be able to write on  text on and listen to music on.
Classes will evolve some classes work on computers in the year 2012 but in the year 2100 they will all work on ilisten 12 extreme because technoligy is getting used more.


School kids will read books that will automatically turn pages when you say turn because it will help them multitask plus reading will be the only subject. This will happen because kids are starting to not like writing and maths and teachers will fell sorry for them.
                                  


Technology
There will be an automatic rocking chair.
All you will have to do is press a blue button on the side if the rocking chair. Then you say what speed you want to rock at it wont stop until you say stop because people will be to lazy do do most things by there self.



Transport



I think that people will be able to teleport by having a wath and then they say where they want to teleport to and they will go there. This will happecn because people are and  getting  lazier and lazier.





Nature  


Trees will be small because paper will start to run out so people will cut down trees to get paper.

My time to shine

To day it was my time to shine. That is because in assembly I got the opportunity to read one of my storys in front of the whole school. Before I started reading I felt nervous but when I was reading my story I started to fell a bit more confident. But overall I felt proud of myself.

Buddy Writing.

There once was a ship called the Rock . At eleven o'clock at night the ship crashed into some rocks. People scampered of the boat and only three made it off they were called Tyrin Henry and Josh. They needed to find safety all the could see was a little old wood hut. So they ran inside all that they could see was 4 skeleton's “at lest we've got company’ Henry said. “I wonder how long they've been here for” I said creeeeekkkk “what was that” Hen said worriedly just the floor.Hey at least we have somewhere to stay Tyrin said happily” me and Henry turned away and then nek minute Tyrin was gone. All that was left was muddy footprints spooooky. Then we saw the hatch on the ground was open. Me and Hen quickly jumped down the hatch SMACK! we had landed ‘ouch that hurt’ I said painfully.It was a dark black room i shone the torch on the ground and more muddy foot prints, someone was here. “Tyrin where are you” we called no reply “Josh hen are you here” “was that Tyrin” said hen. ‘Lets follow the muddy footprints’ I said so we did we followed them around until we figured out we were just going in circles and then a hand tapped me on the shoulder ‘get away’ I screamed as loud as loud as a baby . But it was Tyrin” “hello there”he said ‘lets climb back up the ladder over there’ ‘there was a ladder we jumped down’ ‘yep you did’ so we climbed up the ladder ‘who's foot prints were they’ i said. ‘They were mine’ Tyrin said ‘What but you were taken by someone else’ ‘no i wasn't’.  ‘I stood on some mud then the floor started to creek then I felt the wood moving KABOOM I hit the floor. Then I wandered around that's what left the muddy footprints you were as  scared as a mouse being chased by a cat weren't you’ Tyrin said ‘but your safe now lets get of this island’. So we all ran out of the hut and picked up some sticks and wrote SOS in the sand about two hours later a helicopter flew over the island and stopped and landed on the island get in the driver said lets go home hoooray we all said.

My cat

As Sam peeked over the fence Tom threw a snow ball at Sam.He fell deep into the snow. When he got back up  Tom was sitting on the fence once again.Sam jumped when he was in mid air he swung his paw at Tom but he missed and fell back down. Tom was laughing at him that made Sam angry.He pounced at Tom and hit the fence instead. That made Tom laugh even more. Then Sam jumped onto the fence next to Tom and swiped him of the Tom fell into the snow. Now Sam was the one laughing. Sam was to busy laughing he didn't notice that Tom was making lots of snow balls and he had even mad a sling shot with a stick and some flax from a plant . SPLAT!a gigantic snow ball as big as gym ball hit Sam. How can I get tom back Sam thought to himself. His thinking was interrupted by another snow ball “ha ha” tom laughed he was laughing so hard he nearly cried. ‘Sob you win’ Sam said sadly so Tom started to fly away and then Sam hit Tom with a snow ball Tom fell and his beck hit the fence it was as red as Rudolph's nose. Then Tom flew onto the roof of Simon's house and kicked a hole lot of snow on
Sam's head ‘sucker’ Tom said. Well Sam was under the pile of snow he was building snow balls
he next thing you know Tom was covered in snow. When he popped back up his wing was broken and Sam felt sorry  so Sam ran in side and got a bandage. He took Tom inside and they both apologised they both felt sorry and they shook hands and promised not to do it again.
(I wonder how long that will last).

 I think I will be in the third group because I know how to breath on my side and do my arm motions.

Qualities of me

This is my green screening it was a very tough job but in the end I got there. At one stage I thought I thought I would never finish. As you can see I love soccer that's why its on my green screening. I love green screening.

1. I felt proud of myself when I was the first one finished with our green screening.
2. Matt and Henry have been a big help to my in my first week there good helpers when I was doing my learning buddy photo.
3.  The easiest thing so far has been turning my computer on it is simple.
4. I was exited on my second day because I new that being in a computer class is fun.
5. I have found going on the Internet at school every day is a bit different but better.

swimming time

So far swimming has been awesome. The water has been warm and we've been doing races and there's still more to come. Its going to rock. But I need to practice my diving.Because I don't want to do a belly flop in front of everyone. Swimming rocks.
