I had always liked to live in the "fast lane." I drove fast, ate fast, walked fast, and talked fast. Never thinking I would ever slow down. Old people that slowed me down made me extremely mad. They walked slow, ate slow, and drove slow I would get so upset! My teachers, friends, and family always told me that I needed to learn to slow down and enjoy life because one day, I too, would be old. "Yeah right," I thought, nothing's going to slow me down. Then, one day I was driving fast and almost ran into a little old lady. She had little beady eyes that stared deep into my eyes she just gave me the chills. I beeped my horn for her to get out of my way, but she slowly moved around the side of my car to my open driver's window. Softly and slowly she spoke these words, "You must learn to watch as you go and learn to take things slow because you never, never know how quickly you might grow." I thought she was just a crazy old lady. I hurried off, screeching my tyres as I drove away. Forgetting about what she said, I went to bed that night planning what adventures I'd do the next day. But, the next morning I woke up and could hardly move then I looked in the mirror and to my horror, staring back was an old, old man. What had happened? What was going on? Who was this person starring back at me? Then, I thought about what the little old lady had said. I felt my wrinkly old arms and cheeks they felt like they had been in the water for days. I went to run and splash water on my face but I could not run! I was going at the pace of a sloth. This was horrible I was never going to be old I had planed out my life. In my mind I saw the old lady steering at me with those little beedy eyes. I waddled I held the railing of the stairs and ran as fast as I could, it may sound as if I was going fast but no I was not I would have been slower then a snail. I eventually made it down the stairs I grabbed a bowl to put my cereal in but I was shaking so much I dropped it and it smashed on the ground. "Oh forget it," I said to myself as I was leaving for work. I went to put on my shoes as I looked down I saw moldy old green toenails but the worst part was in the years that I missed my toenails did not stop growing. "Man, I do not want to cut those toenails." I hopped in the car put the key in and drove. I was trying to go extremely fast but I just could not I was very slow. Horns were tooting everywhere it turns out that they were tooting at me but what for. I was driving a long and came to a set of lights they were green so went on through but halfway through they turned orange and then red! Cars swerved around tooting their horns and doing other stuff I probably should not tell you about. I did a dumb thing and decided to just keep driving sometimes old people must have no clue. After about ten close calls I made it out of those light my work was by those lights so I didn't have to drive much longer. I pulled into the car park and got out of the car. I walked into my work and stood behind the counter. I worked at rebel sports so it can be extremely busy. My first costumer walked up with a pair of soccer boots. He said hello and put them on the counter. I picked up the shoes and went to scan them but I kept on dropping them. My boss walked up and said, " You look a bit tired how about I take you home". Before I had a chance to answer he grabbed my arm and started to walk. He was walking so fast I was nearly getting dragged a long the ground. He put me in a car and drove I had to hold on he was going incredible fast well I think he was going fast but whom knows. I got home and laid down on the couch. Why did I have to drive fast I thought to myself why? I laid there thinking about those words and the beady eyes. Wait I know what to do I said sprinting as fast as I could, while I was running I was sure that I saw a tortoise passing bye but my eye sight might not be the best. After a while of thinking I made a decision I was going to do it. I stood on the road and a speeding car came right at me I closed my eyes. I waited for the impact but then what I wanted to happen happened. The car stopped I walked up to the drive and said , "You must learn to watch as you go and learn to take things slow because you never, never know how quickly you might grow." The driver speed of, I rushed into my house and hopped on the couch and dozed off. I woke up the next morning I got up and walked to the kitchen wait I was walking at a fast pace I was me again. Now that I had learnt my lesson I decided to make a promise to myself. It was to take things slow, but not too slow otherwise my life would be boring. On my way to work I met a old man in his car parked in the middle of a set of lights I drove past him and waved, I think that it might of made his day. I hopped out of the car and walked into work my boss was not there yet so I waited. My boss walked in and he looked very old. I think that I know who was driving that speeding car.

Make one wish

"Come on spurs," I scream as Gareth Bale runs down the wing. He fakes, a step over POOF someone or something magical appeared in front of me. "Hey get out of the way we might score her. "I have come to grant you just one wish because I am the magical and wonderful One wish genie," He bellowed. What! I thought Genies weren't real, but he might come in handy I thought to my self. Ideas of thing that I could wish for rushed through my head, a Ferrari could be fantastic then I realised that I can't drive but the point is there is millions of things to wish for. I thought very hard, and I made my decision. "I wish to have unlimited money," I said. "Your wish is my command," he replied then he vanished with out another word. I ran over to the phone and put in my friend Brodys phone number.

"Hello Brody speaking," I heard Brody say "Just get round to my house," I replied He then hung up and I knew that he was coming round. Brody was at my house super fast, and he was looking excited. "What's the news," he said "This genie came around to my house granted me one wish because he is the One wish genie and I wished for unlimited money so now we are going to Brazil," I replied. "Slow down buddy its fine with me if we go to Brazil but the genie thing that was just weird,". I told him the full story, and he believed me. We got a taxi to the airport when we arrived we realised we hadn't told our parents. We called our parents and left them a message. We brought our tickets and boarded the plane we just couldn't wait. The time came the plane took off we were away.

Everything was going smoothly until strange things happened. The plane started to wobble then the nose pointed straight to the ground we were plummeting straight down towards the sea. We were like a meteor crashing down towards the earth. We were metres away from our doom when suddenly the plane pulled up and we flew into the air. Everyone applauded for the pilot well that was everyone who was not still in shock from our fall.

We were now just over halfway through our flight, there had been some strong winds ever since that fall. Then a huge gust of wind hit the plane it shook like a rocking chair. People started to panic then we heard the pilot say " we might be experiencing a crash landing due to tornado's," "What," Brody and I screamed together. A tornado approached and we became caught up in it everyone was screaming including me, to be honest I was screaming like a little girl. I smashed through the seat belt and was flung around the plane. "Help," I yelled I looked up and I saw the walls of my bedroom. I looked at the time it said 7:37 I had over slept and it was Monday a school day. I was extremely glad it was a dream and not real. On the way to school the strangest thing happened for real this time, I met the One wish genie again! "Oh no I am not falling for you this time I'm out," I said sprinting down the road. Turns out that it was a young boy walking to a dress up birthday party, so that was a little bit embarrassing. Here is a tip never ever trust a genie.

Soccer skills week 1

This week in soccer skills we practised dribbling. It is with Napier City Rovers and the people who run it are Aaron and Harley. When dribbling you can use the outside, bottom, top and inside of you foot. My best dribbling spot is the top and inside of my foot. When using the bottom of your foot I like to roll my foot over the ball and it will spin back towards me. We also used both of our feet. I can dribble with both of my feet. I like to dribble with my left foot so I can tap the ball ahead and kick it with my right foot. Aaron also told us to mostly keep our head up bust sometimes look at the ball so you don’t lose control of it. I think that I am a pretty good dribbler and I know that because people have told me I have good dribbling skills and that I have good ball control. Soccer skills is really fun but the thing I am looking forward to the most is shooting and defending also some attacking.

Cross country training.

As we started our run I saw people speed off I just kept jogging slowly I didn’t want to waste my energy. I made it round to Miss Garland and got my first stick I still had heaps of energy so I kept on going. When I got round to Mr Cottrell the people who had sprinted were now basically walking. I looked up ahead and it was lucky I looked up otherwise I would've crashed into the basketball hoop.I kept on going some people looked at Mr Cottrell and saw he wasn’t looking so they started to walk. While I was running I looked to my side and I sore Renee go past me she was going really fast. Miss Garland handed me another stick I was puffing a little bit but I was ok. I ran past the cricket nets and I started to speed up. “Nice pace Josh,” I heard Mr Cottrell say. That made me want to go a little bit faster so I did I got to Miss Garland and then I regretted speeding up because I was starting to get tired so I slowed down again trying not to walk I jogged past Marshall he sounded like he was breathing like usain bolt does after winning the 200m. I kept going for the last two laps and I was pretty tired at the end. Mr Cottrell showed us some stretches and ways to become less tired and they actually worked. It is pretty hard work doing this training.      

Colgate prize.

Today in assembly Miss Garland announced that we had one a prize from the Colgate competition. The competition was to make a video about why people should use Colgate to brush their teeth. Miss Garland held up our bag and said, "From the Colgate competition our class one a prize our prize is six P.E sports balls." It was pretty cool when I hear that we had one these because we could use them for games like dodge ball and some other games. All of the balls have their own colour and own number. I'm sure that our class will have a lot of fun with these balls.

Book week

This week it is book character week. We had electives to choose for. I chose the drama one. We are working on plays and readers theatres. A readers theatre is like a play but with no acting. Today we had a parade of costumes that we wore because it was book character day. We got to dress up as our favourite book character I came as Captain underpants. Parris and I got to be the host's of the parade. So far it has been a awesome week and I can't wait for tomorrow.

The big wall

My brother Daniel and I stared over the edge of the wall we were both thinking we made it the first people to climb up here it was like it was the edge of the world. Daniel walked over to the edge and said, “what do you think is down there” “I’m not sure but why do you want to know,” I replied. He didn’t answer he just kept looking over the edge. Then the unthinkable happened he slipped and started to slide off the edge “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” He screamed. I stood there in shock. Then I made the decision, to find him. I took a deep breath and I jumped. I was rocketing through the clouds then I started slowing down I started to float what was happening. Little sparkles were floating around and there was an old man floating around. “Hi there I am old man Jenkins I was actually the first man to climb this not you’” He said “Um cool but anyway have you seen a boy with blonde here go past,” I said. “Oh sure he was going so fast he went right through but before you go do you want some sparkles to eat they taste like lollipops,” He said. “No thanks and I better be off now,” I said leaving quickly. I dived down and resumed my fall. I was looking around for Daniel then I noticed that old man Jenkins was right next to me. “How did you get here ,” I said “Me you have never seen me you might of seen my brother old man Jenkins but I am hillbilly Jenkins,”. “Oh no not more annoying people,” I whisper to myself. “Hey hillbilly look over there its a banjo,” I said and with that the hillbilly was gone. I was falling awfully fast and there was still no sight of my brother then I saw something it looked like earth I am going to die I thought to myself then I stopped falling just metres away from the ground then weirdly I landed on my feet what had just happened I thought I was back where I had started at the big wall. This was getting really creepy. Then once again I saw old man Jenkins or hillbilly Jenkins but I was wrong it was their other brother. He was just called Bobby. “Hi there I love to fly around so I will be off,” He said as he jumped off the edge. Those brothers have some issues I thought to myself. I was standing thinking if I should leave or wait for Daniel. I stood there and waited and waited then I decided to jump again because Daniel had the map so that meant that I was lost. I ran and got ready to jump then I heard “what are you doing,” I realised that it was Daniel. “How did you get here,” I said “Well when I went off the edge I stopped and ate some sparkles with old man Jenkins then I saw you go past so I kept going,” He replied. “Well in that case we should go off the edge again,” Then the next thing we did was jump and braced ourselves for a ride. We showed the map to the world and heaps of people had fun and the Jenkins brothers had heaps and heaps of company. Hillbilly Jenkins also learnt how to play the banjo and put on shows for people. So the big wall turned basically into a theme park. I hope that the big wall always stays like the way it is now so that everyone that will ever live can experience it. The End

Octopus on the go!

As ollie the octopus slithered along the edge of the truck he could feel his tentacles slipping of the side but he was determined to save his love.Ollie peeped into the van the driver was listening to music and took no notice of Ollie. Then Ollie slipped and landed on the window. The van driver started to wind up his window and that was when he noticed Ollie. He screamed and hit Ollie away,he landed on another van and the van driver threw him back at the van where he had started. It was like a game of octopus table tennis. This was extremely painful for Ollie but he would do anything for his lovely wife.

Then he landed with a splat on the chilly bin that his wife was in.

He looked at the evil driver and he launched himself onto the steering wheel he reached out and started slapping the driver. He lifted him up but Ollie slid out of his hands and landed on his head and was trying to rip his hair out. The driver took both hands off the steering wheel and was trying to pull Ollie off but Ollie was too strong. The drivers van went crashing through markets but the driver managed to get his foot on the brake and the van skidded to a halt right outside of a seafood shop. He ripped Ollie of his head with a bit of his hair coming of as well, then he threw him in the chilly bin.

The driver gave Ollie and his wife Juliet into the chef. The chef opened up the box and looked at the octopi. “Oh man come on they never deliver them dead this company sucks,” he said with a big sigh. He just looked at them “I can’t kill these two they are just too cute,”. Ollie and Juliet were looking at the chef with puppy dog faces. I know what I can do he thought to himself. “How about you two come home with me I have a octopus in my tank the tank is huge it could fit you and three others, oh and by the way my name is Nick your new owner,”. He picked them up and put them back into the chilly bin. A few minutes later they were on the move again but this time it was a peaceful move. When they got let out of the chilly bin into the tank they met an octopus called Tommy. Tommy was a very nice octopus and they all liked each other very much. Everyday Nick feed them and went off to his work. Nick, Tommy, Juliet and Ollie lived a great life together. Well that was until they found out that the tank we were in was a fridge and that in glade rap was a knife. Written on the glad rape was knife for chopping Octopi. Oh no I thought to myself in horror here we go again!

Camp prezies

Caving at camp Kaitawa

                                           Caving at camp Kaitawa

Thump I land on the ground after jumping of the rocks at the start of the cave. This part of the cave was very roomy and looked lovely except for one big drop near the edge! It was pretty scary. There was a lot of leaves and not much rocks. Then the cave got  smaller and became a tight fight. I came upon two rocks jamed together. Martin told us that we had to squeeze through the rocks to the other side. I watched the others go through and then it was my turn so I wriggled my way through and popped out the other side.

I had to climb up onto some rocks and swing my feet over to another rock. There was grit on the rocks and it was rubbing against my hands and dust was getting in my eyes. Miss Hill told me to put my hands on the bar that went around the edge of a humongous drop. I shone my torch done the drop and couldn’t see the bottom. That made me more nervous. My feet shuffled along and I moved my hands across on the bar. I launched myself onto another rock where my dad was waiting. My dad helped me get past some slippery places then he sent me down to tony.

Tony helped my climb on top of the rocks and slide down the other side. When I landed I nearly slipped over because there was some slippery mud or bat poo I wasn’t quite sure. There wasn’t much to look at I looked down and I could barely see my shoes because they were covered in so much mud but I could see Grant in the light of my torch.  I walked over to Grant who was standing in the middle of bat poo that looked exactly like mud. It stunk horrible! The smell got worse and worse when you got further into it. My feet were getting stuck in the poo and trust me it wasn’t that nice. There was also leafs mixed in with the poo. Trudging my way through the mud I saw a ladder. Craig told me to climb the ladder up to Miss Garland.

I shot up the ladder and walked back to where everyone was. We got a lollipop to eat well we waited for everyone else to finish. Caving was a lot of fun and for me was probably the best thing about camp and camp was awesome as well. It was the best camp ever.

The Olympic games 2020

This is a story that my friend Flynn and I made it is called the olympic games 2020. Hope you enjoy.

The 2020 Olympic games are being held in Tokyo, Japan. Josh, Flynn and Samuel are all competing in the 100m and 4x1 relay. Josh is in heat number one against Yohan blake and Flynn will be competing against Asafa powell, and Sam, he will be up against Justin gatlin that is for the 100m. First the host said on the microphone “ Heat one is coming out onto the track for the 100m. On your marks, Get set, Go. There off and what a start to the tokyo olympics Josh little is in the lead Yohan blake close behind and the winner is Yohan blake by 2 milli seconds, what a race. “ Heat 2 is now coming out onto the running track, On your marks, get set, Go, there of. There coming up to the finish line folks there coming and the winners are. 1st. Asafa powell 2nd. Flynn 3rd. Tyson Gay. The qualifiers for the semis are Yohan blake, Josh, Richard thompson, Asafa powell, Flynn, Tyson gay, Justin gatlin, Sam, Ryan bailey, Churandy Martina and Usain Bolt.

In the first heat is Flynn, Josh, Richard Thompson, Churandy Martina and Justin Gatlin. In the second heat Samuel, usain bolt, Asafa Powell Ryan bailey, Yohan Blake and Tyson Gay. On the track now is semi final one. On your marks get set, go Off they go with Gatlin in the lead with Flynn and Josh in hot pursuit and Flynn will take first with gatlin second and Josh third what a finish that was. Those three will now be in the final. The second semi final are on the running track now. On your marks, Get set, Go, And there of. They are approaching the finish line with Usain Bolt and Samuel trying to take the first spot, and it’s a tie with Usain bolt and Sam taking first with Yohan blake joining them in the final. “ Now could I have the finalist to the running track. On your marks, Get set, Go. They are approaching the finish line. First second and third are Samuel, Flynn and then Josh. The three New Zealand boys are making there way onto the podium and they are collecting their medals these three boys deserve those medals,”. All of the boys waited for the last event the 4x1. New zealands team was Flynn, Joshua, Josh and Sam. “there is only 8 countries competing in this event so we will have a straight final and hear come the teams. The teams are in there lanes ready to race. On your marks get set go and there away Flynn and Yohan blake right next to each other at the batten change Joshua is up against Asafa powell powell overtakes Joshua just before the batten change Josh speeds ahead of Willem Warra and Josh gives nz a good lead at the batten change Sam speeding off with Usain bolt close behind him who will win who will and new zealand takes the win what an exciting race how intense was that. First place was New zealand Second Jamaica and third U.S.A. New zealand have dominated the 100m and the 4x1 mens relay. Tokyo olympics has been great but it is over now thank you for watching the Tokyo olympics 2020”.     

Our class winning the Sevy Shield

The Sevy shield is a shield that Mr severinsen created. Room 18 had the shield and you have to challenge them to some sort of game and if you win you get the shield. We challenged them to a game of t-ball and we won 21 14. So now we have the shield.

Bush safety

This is some work on Bush safety.

Yesterday a relative of Mrs roil came in and talked to us about bush safety. He told us that before we go out into the bush the first things we need to do is tell someone where we are going and when we will be back and also check your bag to make sure you don’t have any holes in it. In your bag you should have Torch, Water, batteries, lighter, sleeping bag, food, bed roll, Beanie, warm clothes and a tent or some shelter. You also need a first aid kit that should contain stuff for blisters, headaches, cuts, bruises, rashes and insect bites. It is better to go hunting or in the bush with a group so if you get hurt there will be others around. Items you need to access quickly are Drink bottle Raincoat: wet weather gear space to pack in your clothes as you take them off

Gas cooker and cup. If you are in a situation when you are lost you should try and keep warm drink heaps of water be determined to survive and stay put. Try to stay away from these plants stinging needle and the bush lawyer. When you stop for a brake you should put on more clothes to keep warm, find natural shelter and put on a beanie because 60% of your body heat is lost through your head. Group rules are If someone needs to stop we all stop and wait. Keep an eye on each other. If you can’t find or see the group you stay put. I hope that helped you out and gave you some more knowledge on the bush.

Maui and the North Island

                                   Maui and the North Island

Maui stood behind the door listening to his four foster brothers talking about going fishing and maui not coming with them. He listened to them give details about what time they were planning on leaving. Early in the morning Maui snuck into their canoe and waited for his brothers. An hour later Maui heard his brothers hop into the canoe. Maui could here them talking about how they had just tricked Maui, but they really hadn't because Maui was still in the canoe. Slowly Maui felt the boat stop but Maui didn’t want to stop here so he pounced out of his hiding place and gave his brothers the fright of their life. “Keep going keep paddling,” commanded maui. The brothers followed his orders and kept paddling all through the night, finally Maui told the brothers to stop paddling because he wanted to fish here. The brothers listened to his commands and stop paddling but the brothers refused to give Maui bait as revenge for him hiding in the canoe. So Maui struck himself on the nose as and smeared the blood on his magic jawbone and launched it into the water. It made a splash and sunk deeply into the water. Then Maui felt his jawbone get stuck in something. Maui thought that it was just a fish but it was really a carving from a marae. He pulled and pulled but the carving put up a fight and didn’t want to come out of the water.. The carving was strong but not as strong as Maui's will Maui said his karakia and the carving came out of the water. “I need to find my jawbone said Maui,” he told his brothers not to do anything to his catch. When Maui was out of sight the brothers started to get there share because they did help with the paddling. When Maui got back the brothers had made valleys on the carving. You might of traveled to this carving because it is the north island of New Zealand.  looks kind of like a beaten stingray don't you think?

Porwhiri

Yesterday room 19 did a Porwhirir with room 18.During the Porwhiri I really enjoyed our waita.

I saw that a lot of people weren't that comfortable with doing a hongi.

It was really fun when I had to give a donation to the tangata whenua (The locals of the land).

I also enjoyed it when Hamish used a taiha to try and scare us it was hard not to laugh because the boys from their class were using hockey sticks to try and scare us.

It kind of felt like I was in a real marae when we were doing all of the speeches.

I learnt a lot about the maori culture and some maori vocabulary.

We did all of this so we could learn about Cotrells

culture and it was really fun. The part I enjoyed most would be my speech and singing the waita. We get to do it again and this time we are not going to stop and we will all have lunch together after we have finished.

replie. As i get up of the ground I can feel the dark read blood oozing down my face. As I walk of t

nd I can feel I big bump on my head. It feels as fat as the worlds biggest egg. A big bandage gets wrapped around my head. “Can I play now,” I ask. “I don't know,” I here my mum say But then the next thing I know I’m back on the field and taking a penalty. as I slot it into the top corner I say “yes my team Maycenvale are gonna win,”.

My camp group

My camp group is Flynn,Maggie,Greta,Bhrt and Jack B. All of the groups have 5 or 6 people in them.
right now my group is called the Hawkes bay Saints. I think that at my group will be successful and will work together well. I am looking ford to camp and I think all of my group are looking ford to it as well

Night time Mayehm

“Go to sleep Josh,” says my mum she doesn't sound very happy at all. When she leaves the room I hop out of bed and grab a guinness world record book. “Ahhhh this is the life relaxing when you're meant to be asleep,”. After reading for about an Hour I hear my mum coming towards my room. I quickly sprint to put my book away run back and jump into bed. As I close my eyes and curl up. Mum must be checking if I’m asleep. I hope I can trick her. Creeeek I hear my door close yay I did it she fell for it. I turn the radio on really quiet and lie back down. Then my favourite song comes on I try to stop myself from signing. “Why does your song have to be so catchy Ollie murs,” I say to myself. I just turn of the radio now my night is going to be boring. Then I start to sing “Troublemaker,”  “no stop singing,” I say very angrily. I hear footsteps coming up the hallway oh no I think to myself. I close my eyes and curl up. But I hear the person say “United Manchester united,”.Then I realise that Manchester united have just won a game of soccer and that the person is not mum it is daniel what a relief. “Hey Daniel” I say “hey shrimp,” he replies. We have a great conversation about soccer. Daniels voice starts to disappear what.Then I realise Daniel has fallen asleep. He must of been very tired. Wait that means I have to go to sleep or I could sit here and be bored I know what I will do I think to myself. As I crept out of my room and walk down the hallway. Carefully I walk into the kitchen and got a nice cold drink of water. As I make my way back to my room  I see my mum walk out of her room I take a giant leap and go crashing into the bathroom. Peeping through the door I see my mum walk straight past me. Being as stealth as I possibly could I crawl back into my room. I throw myself onto my bed and start to doze off what a night this has been.

Now to how the game was invented.
Back in 1863 the Chinese kicked a round and hard ball. They used it in the military as well. A man called Ebenezer cobb morley got a group of people together and got some small nets and they all tried to kick the round and hard ball in the net. I am not sure where the name soccer came from but apparently the game had a soccer football association and the americans took away football and made it soccer. But england did the opposite and called it football. Since england called it football first the proper name is football not soccer but the americans still go against that and call it soccer.

My favourite football players of all time are probably Neymar and Gareth bale.

Letter To Myself in 20 years.

Dear Josh
This letter is from yourself at the age of ten. This is what I wanted my life to be like at the age of ten. I hope you are a professional football player with the latest nike mold boots and the latest adidas sprig boots. I wish that you will meet ossie adillias,Gareth Bale and the best young talent Harry kane. Josh I hope you will play for tottenham hotspur and if you have good for you! It would be great if you would help everyone in need that you possibly can. Do people still call you Littleping? Are you a chef? I hope you are I want to be a dessert chef or play for the black sox or Tottenham,and the all whites. That would be awesome. My best friend is Brody is he still my best friend? I hope that you will live in London  Right next to white hart lane.This would be an awesome life. Do you live live in a mansion with a big pool and another spa pool with bubbles. Do you have a big back yard. I hope you did breed different types of animals together and the first animal I you breed was crossed between a snail and a polar bear and I you called it Littleping. Kids 4 Kids show

Today the seniors at Parkvale school went to the opera house. It was our rehearsal for the Kids 4 Kids show. The Kids 4 Kids show is a singing concert for world vision. The hosts were Dayna and and the co host was Callum. Chris from the funky monkeys played the piano and conducted us. We sung 18 songs they were all pretty fun. My favourite song was probably candy man or the New Zealand ad medley. It was very fun and I am not nervous for to tonight's performance. I can't wait!

Ticket Booth

As I stare at the booth I see people turning invisible and others just walk away. I can’t decide would it be cool being invisible I really don’t know. I decide that I will just flip a coin on it. Heads I get the ticket tails I don’t. I flip the coin as I see it spin what will it land on what will happen. The coin hits the ground, I look straight at it it landed on...Heads!. What am i in for. I buy the ticket. “Excuse me sir can you see me?,” I say “Um no, no I can’t,” he replied. I wonder if this will be any good at all. As I walk through town I walk into Rebel sports and ask the man serving me “are these the boots with the control grip,”. But all I see is a man run and scream “ahhhhhhhhhhh who said that i’m leaving this place,”. I just don’t think being invisible is going to be very fun at all I think to myself. I walk home and sit down on the couch. I click my fingers for my cat to come to me. I also call his name. He looks very worried and scared I see him run off. IS he scared as well being invisible is dumb. I quickly run back to the ticket booth.”Do you have any tickets to turn me back to normal,” I say to the man at the ticket booth. He replies by saying “no sorry mate,”. It looks like I will be stuck like this forever I think to myself. I wish that coin had landed on tails. I walk back to myself thinking about that dumb coin not landing on tails. Man this is going to be very tough being invisible.

Bike Reflection

Bike safety has started and we have been doing it for nearly two weeks. I have got a lot better at signalling. I need to work on looking behind me. I really enjoy bike safety. I wish it would never stop. I hope the teachers think I can go on the road. I think I am pretty safe.

We’re about to start the game. It is the world cup final. New Zealand had smashed Pakistan in the semi final. Also Australia had beat england by four runs.  The players run onto the field. New Zealand against Australia.
I am the first ball for the game. I see Michael Clarke and Shane Watson on the back of their shirts. They step into their crease.
Daniel Vic Tore is the first bowler. He is one of the most talkative in the team I am always training with him. He picks me up with a strong grip almost as strong as the worlds strongest man. Runs up to the crease and bowls me,ouch I bounce on the ground. “Hit me with your best shot,” I scream. Whack Clarke hits me. “Fire away,” I say painfully. “I believe I can fly ,” then Bam I hit the billboards. ‘Michael Jackson ow”.

I look at the big screen there I am on tv I think its a tv anyway. I wish my mum was here so I could scream look mum i’m on tv. I am back on the pitch. I get bowled once again out I hit the wickets. Man that actually really hurt I think the players don’t like me they are picking on me.

NZ is batting now up first is Ross Taylor and Daniel Vettori. I get bowled up up up and away that was a good hit from Ross Taylor. I keep going then whack I think I just broke someones finger. I see the man run off in pain. “Oops,” I say.
Now it is even. The last bowl of the game I get bowled Brendon Mccullum smashes it NZ need a six to win. I’m going going gone for a six NZ win hooray. I see the NZ players running around screaming. Daniel lifts the cup yay. I am trying to celebrate with the players because I am from NZ. This has been a good day other than the pain. I’m going to have a lot of bruises in the morning.

“I think it might be time for us to go on the tour,” says Charlotte. As I walk out of Mr Tushman's office I look at August.He is staring at his mum. I don’t know what is going through his mind. Doesnt he like Mr Tushman? Don’t know and I don’t want to ask.
.
We first go up to our home room. He just stands there looking at the ground. "So this is the home room that we all will be in. Our teacher will be Miss Butox ," Jack says with a confident voice. "Ok its alright it’s pretty small but thats alright," replies August.

As we move on to the music room August has been talking a lot to Jack. Jack seems to agree, so they must be talking about something Jack likes or he's just being kind. We walk into the music room Augusts eyes light up. He runs up to the drums and starts to play them its like he’s pro. He goes wild he is flipping his hair around I see his face. I know why he is not looking at us. He stands up and starts to run around oh no, he must be one of the kids who love rock music. I couldn't put up with it "Shut up'' I yell. "Oops sorry i was just annoyed how about we move on," I say trying to make it as if nothing happened.
 
As we walk out I think to myself why did I say that I am so so dumb. We move on to the cafeteria Jack is still talking to the monster I mean the kid. There is just tables and chairs around. Then August says "Sweet free food," I didn't want to tell him the food was disgusting and you have to pay for some things. I don't want to say the wrong thing again.

When we left the Cafeteria I see the science room "We will go to the science room next," I say. So we walk off to the science lab. When we get there August runs off straight to the chemicals,he starts talking about science and using lots of words that I don't know the meaning to. He is crazy about science so he is a rock loving kid as well as a science loving kid ok I am starting to get to know the ugly thing, I mean the not so ugly thing. He doesn't ask anything about the chooks. I thought he would.

We decide to show him the gym. When we get into the gym Jack Charlotte and I run onto the gym equipment. August stays back he must not like P.E. we should leave then. So we decide to go back to Mr Tushman’s office. When we get back to Mr Tushman’s office he says “How was the tour?” “ Average I love rock music,” replied August. Oh no he is not going to fit in here.

Suddenly the temperature dropped. I was outside in Antarctica just outside of the Scott Base. I had lost a dear and I had to stay outside for five minutes in just a shirt and shorts and it was minus thirty degrees. As I look at my watch i see it has only been two minutes still three minutes to go . I keep looking at my watch hooray only one more minute. The people in Antarctica call it warm at minus seventeen degree brrr. I look at my watch again finally it has been five minutes.What 50 minutes not five.

Holiday Homework Shared Writing

Me: Today was the day that Tottenham was playing against Bayern Munich in the Semi Final of the Champions League. The other Semi Final was Borussia Dortmund against FC Barcelona.
The line up for Tottenham was, Hugo Lloris,Kyle Naughton,William Gallas Captain,Jan Vertonghen,Kyle Walker,Aaron Lennon,Moussa Dembele,Gylfi Sigurdsson,Gareth Bale,Clint Dempsey and Jermain Defoe. For Bayern Munich the line up is Manuel Neuer,Jerome Boaetang Philip Lahm C,Prince,Daniel Van Buyten,Bastian Schweinsteiger,Toni Kroos,Thomas Muller,Arjen Robben,Mario Gomez and Franck Ribery.It will be a very close game.

Dad: This is the second leg of the semis. The result of the first leg at Anzelle Anzarena (Bayern Munich's home) Was 1 All. This game was at White Hart Lane (Tottenham's home). It was the Decider. The star player for Tottenham is Gareth Bale and for Bayern Munich Philip Lahm who is  also the Captain of Bayern Munich.

Mum: As the teams walk out the crowds cheer, you can feel the excitement in the voices of the commenters . The Captains do the coin toss and the teams shake hands the game is about to get underway. What a game it will be, I can't wait for the game to start. It looks like the managers are very nervous.They will be wondering if all that time they have spent practicing will pay off.Everyone is in position waiting for the whistle to start this amazing 90 minutes of Football.

Dad: The whistle blows and Defoe starts the game with a pass to Dempsey. Amidst roar from the stands. With the Spurs (Tottenham) fans singing When the Spurs go marching on it lifted the team and Gareth Bale crossed the ball in and a header from Dembele hits the post and the Keeper raps the ball up. Spurs are dominating this wonderful game.

Me: Then a counter attack from Bayern Munich a shot from Mario Gomez and a Brilliant save from Lloris. This game is really heating up. Ouch Jermain Defoe has been taken down by Prince. The Ref pulls out the red card it is a penalty to Tottenham but Defoe is injured. He has to be subbed off and Harry Kane comes on. Harry is very fast and he is very good at shooting. The Ref blows the whistle and Dempsey runs up slots the ball into the top corner 1 nile to Tottenham and now for the end of the first half a fifteen minute break and then the game will resume.

Daniel (My Brother): The ref blows the whistle, as Mario Gomez aka Super Mario Gomez passes the ball to Thomas Muller, Muller plays an delightful pass to Ribery who brings it down on his with an amazing first touch on his chest. Ribery runs at the defence terrorising Kyle Walker as he cuts inside and lays the ball to Bastian Schweinsteiger, as Schweinsteiger goes to smash a ferocious shot, Dembele slides in from behind giving away a foul on the edge of the eighteen yard box and collecting a yellow card.

Tash(My Sister): Thomas Muller cuts through the ball perfectly placing it in the top right corner of the goal, Hugo Lloris manages to make a stunning attempt getting his fingertips to the ball but it isn’t enough, the ball hits the back of net sending the Bayern Munich fans into a fury of excitement. They are back in the game with only 5 minutes left to play.

Me: Off the kick off Dempsey plays it out to Lennon who passes it down the middle to Harry Kane. Kane rainbow flicks Van Buyten and unleashes a shot on the edge of the box and its in. Kane runs over to his teammates and they start dancing to celebrate. The Ref blows his whistle its game over Tottenham win how great. The result of the other game was a win to Borussia Dortmund. So Spurs v Borussia Dortmund in the final.
